No matter what 'new' wheels we may have to invent in the near future, there are a few that we do not.

If I had my own little magic wand, I'd have every like-minded theater group, from middle schoolers, on up to Broadway and the Big Screen, doing a 'Big Tent' Revival. And I'd start with 'Inherit The Wind' and 'Elmer Gantry'!!!

This religious hucksterism has befuddled this country before folks, and many works have gone from pen, to stage, to screen. It's time for a major American reminder, I think!!!

Screenwriter, playwright here too wrecked at the moment to do anything (twilight zone i wrote actually has just come to pass during this election. blows my mind) right now but was just talking to a prod. friend last night about the very issue. Call to all kick ass artists with a mission. :mad: Remember the Crucible? Hope you're doing great intense works of art Willy! :toast:

It's been a long time since I've been in touch with my artistic side. But hell... I think it's all gonna come from that side of our brains and souls from here on out.

I'm gettin ready... I hope everyone else is too.

I just had a fantasy of driving by local theaters all over the place, and seeing those two works of art, and hopefully many others, being produced en-masse for the next four years.

I was also hoping (hint, hint)... that we'd get others here pitching some ideas I hadn't thought about. So... thanks for your suggestion on 'The Crucible'!
