What is this Pentagon/CNN story Rhodes was talking about?

The pentagon forced CNN with news they felt they should broadcast? I just heard the end of this so I have no idea. :shrug:

2. I heard about this on "Democracy Now"
CNN broadcast that the assault on Fallujah had started just to see how the "insurgents" would respond. The actual assault didn't start for another few weeks. CNN was used to broadcast propaganda for military purposes -- part of psyops. Really makes me trust them now ...

3. Not sure
but the Pentagon has been caught in the past staffing CNN with PsyOps soldiers as "interns" reviewing news stories. They were from a unit in North Carolina.

I told COngressman Abercrombie's staff, look they are using Psy Ops against the American People...

Staffer was shocked, did not know what to say... I wish I was still in the district to go to his office, story in hand... TOLD YOU SO!

But what would a Navy Wife know about this huh?

6. the whole embedding thing is psyops
How can a reporter be "objective" after living and eating with the troops day after day. Kind of like the Stockholm Syndrome. They are going to be entirely sympathetic to the men they have gotten to know.

during the first Bush's war in Iraq, CNN was used to spread disinformation for the pentagon.
