C-SPAN discussion question: "Is President Bush doing enough campaigning?" |
|
Check out the discussion question in the right-hand corner of the C-Span page. It's --- "Is President Bush doing enough campaigning for the 2004 election?" What are they, nuts? What do they mean by that? What else does the guy ever do? http://www.c-span.org/homepage.asp?Cat=Series&Code=RWH&ShowVidNum=6&Rot_Cat_CD=RWH&Rot_HT=204&Rot_WD=&ShowVidDays=60&ShowVidDesc=

2. back in my day, they used to CRITICIZE the prez for this |
|
nonstop campaigning was one of those things Mr Clinton got hammered on daily... yet Bush exeeds this level in his FIRST TERM
not to mention breaking the most-time-on-vacation record...
and he's the HIGHEST-PAID PRESIDENT IN HISTORY!!!! He makes DOUBLE what we paid Clinton, and does a FRACTION of the *%#@$*&@^%)* WORK!!!!
:grr:

Personally, I think this latest give-away to special interest IS campaigning. Think about it: 1) EPA gives in to polluters, 2) Medical Emergency requirements eliminated; 3) Approval of contaminated land for sale -- another concession.
It's like telling special interest, "I can do this for you, too, if only you will donate to me."
I call it the Drop Ten and Punt campaign scheme, because he has nothing left to lose.

7. He can campaign all he wants... |
|
even though it won't do him any good, he can do as much campaigning as he pleases. while it's true he does less work than Clinton and gets paid more, you have to take inflation into consideration...

he makes DOUBLE what Clinton, Bush 1, Reagan, etc, made... I believe it was a law written in the 90's that raised the salary
half the brain half the work half the employment half the criticism from the press
twice the deficit twice warmongering twice salaried twice as many lies
