so much of this countries great infrastructure was originally built in the '30s by FDR's programs. But we couldn't expect people to support taxes to pay for these things - no one actually benefits from taxes, right?* And more fed programs to employ the unemployed of this country and fix the infrastructure? Why that would be (gasp) socialism!
:mad:

*Except for Haliburton, Lockheed, GM, IBM, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Boeing, Bechtel, the BFEE and all their buddies.

3. One report that Silicon Valley's unemployment is so high
that the rush hour isn't bad. So with unemployment this high, we don't need to fix the roads.

As an added point, here in Floida the are cutting back on Medicare but doing a lot of road construction. A lot.

4. Leave it to Florida to cut Medicare to repair roads
Who got the repair contract Halliburton? Or was it some Bush*/Cheney relative? Great line of logic also about not needing repairs because unemployment is so high. I expect to see that line aired soon.

5. So what? Everyone who matters has an SUV (sarcasm)
so they can clatter along the washed-out ruts formerly known as "roads".

And yes, I know they suck up gas faster than Bush* in front of a white line at a frat party. But you see, that's why we have to have such a huge military, so we can go steal someone else's oil after we use up ours.

</sarcasm>
