he, and the likes of him, with all this bush @ss kissing have done great harm to our freedom of the press; they have stuffed news that they should've been reporting; they've reported lies that they should've been investigating; they've portrayed the bushes as heroes; fly-boy story and 9/11 kick ragheads' asses, and they have found common ground between the fly-boy and their own father's story... they thought they went to the mountaintop and from the mountain top they've trampled on our democracy and on our constitution.
i say good riddance tom brokaw--it was time for you to go! the only other cliff hanger is that whoever fills his spot is sure to be a rove yes-man or woman and that too will prove unhealthy for whatever democracy anyone of us may still want to lay claims to.
Honest journalism is dead and gone and tom brokaw helped to kill it and bury it.

... of a South Dakota hypocrit. South Dakota has anti-corporate farming laws on the books. And Tom fell right in bed with the corporates. He sold his soul to Jack Welch and GE profits as evidenced by Brokaw's sitting quiet while Welch dictated that NBC needed to be pro-Bush because it will add to the GE bottomline with more military-industrial-airlines-leasing-insurance profits.
This is one South Dakotan that is NOT sad to see him go.

LMAO!
Not here. He was like Tim Russert -- a General Electric company man, a tax-cut-hungry millionaire, masquerading as a "liberal".
The people saddest about Brokaw's departure are right-wingers who will have one less major network anchorman to beat up on.
(Oh my GOD, Rather is leaving TOO? What will "liberal media" critics DO?)

7. They'll start beating up on Limbaugh |
|
The logic:
The media is liberal.
Therefore, all people who work in the media are liberals.
People who are addicted to drugs are liberals.
Which means that, because Rush Limbaugh works in the media and is also addicted to drugs, he is a liberal.
Someone go on FR, start screaming about what a phony liberal Rush is, and watch the fun.
