My diehard GOP Mom absolutely loves the Dickens story and the George C. Scott movie version of "A Christmas Carol."
What she doesn't realize is that Scrooge would most definitely have been a Republican, and his comments about the poor and downtrodden people of the world sound like Newt Gingrich talking points.
Oh well...
