6. I think you are correct, Annie
Bush has not been to one soldier's funeral to date, as far as I recollect.

It's shameful.

12. It would be a security risk, and Bush knows it.
Recall what happened some months ago when a man set a Marine van aflame when they told him his son had died in Iraq. They couldn't stop him, and he almost burned himself alive doing it.

Bush's security people would never allow him near that sort of risk for the purposes of simple respect, ethics or humanity.

Besides, he doesn't really care anyway.

13. Now I'm crying. Our military NEEDS a real commander-in-chief. So do their
families. So does the nation. The world needs an American leader who is wise and strong, tempered and compassionate.

He won't be accused of being unpatriotic when it's the truth. Nice pics. It's a shame Smirky won't even set foot near a soldier's funeral.

18. There was a soldier from my hometown buried last week.
Santorum and Specter were not there. Where is that sanctimonious Santorum when the people of PA need him??? Oh that's right, he's busy stealing their tax dollars to cyber-school his kids.

28. He's Disgusting
Teresa had him so pegged (Forest Gump w/ attitude.) I've been outraged over the lack of outrage at his actions. What a hypocrite he turned out to be (as well as a stupid, rigid, homophobic, misogynist.)

Kerry on the other hand - what can I say? I've cried so much over the last month that I'm all cried out. But my heart aches that Kerry is not to be our President come January. I've lost all faith in this country. But I think I'll write to JK and tell him what his candidacy meant to me and how much I admire him.

32. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette has been all OVER Santorum lately.
They've dedicated 2 editorials in the past 2 weeks alone to his despicable actions (and lack of postive actions).

22. Senator Kerry
You know, this speaks volumes about his character. God Bless Him.

This is compassion in action. Senator Kerry would have made a great commander in chief. He has been there, done that (serving his country in a foreign land) and so he knows what families of soldiers go through.

24. You're Right.
I think everyone is focusing on Senator Kerry though, because he just looks so Presidential attending that soldier's funeral. He looks like a real Commander-in-Chief.

It makes me sad.
