He doesn't sound so happy about how Kerry has handled the vote counting situation.

Maybe it's a good thing he's on this early. If he was saying this in primetime we'd probably have 20 flame threads going on Al by now.

He started going off on the "liberal media". I can't believe he still fucking believes that myth.

He was making some good points about how blacks are treated within the party, but then he started using the word "liberal" just like a Right-winger. He basically said that some blacks within the party were being kept down by "liberals", who didn't like to support blacks within the party for leadership positions that they didn't bring in to those positions themselves.

A good point, Rev, but it's not LIBERALS within the party that are doing that. There's very few if any REAL Liberals in leadership right now. The Democrats calling the shots are mostly centrists and right leaning and would run in fear if they were called liberal.

so don't be so rigid in your dislike. How many Dem candidates were for GAY MARRIAGE? None of the top contenders.

I just couldn't deal with hearing him do anymore liberal bashing this morning. I've been up all night and as a result my resistance for disagreeable statements isn't as high as normal. Al's still a fave of mine...just a bit more than I can handle when I'm exhausted from nightmare induced insomnia.

When I said that he "lost me", I just meant right now--not forever. I just had to turn him off because he was making me too grumpy. That's it.
