2. Saw this yesterday...
Sad in 2 ways - of course for this poor family and sad for our country that this man is not "currently" OUR president...

Have we seen ONE photo of Bush attending a funeral?? Disgraceful...

5. I don't know why but this picture makes me want to cry.
Edited on Fri Dec-03-04 09:45 AM by BlueEyedSon
Since the election, I have seen plenty of pix of Bush, Kerry, carnage in Iraq and protesters around the world... without a tear.

This one really captures the tragedy of the war, the obscenity of a continued Bush presidency, the basic decency (and genuine war record) of Kerry....

What's in the box? Hope.
Damn.

6. Yep I feel the same way
But Kerry should have done this during the campaign of course the press would have jumped all over him for "using" the dead to campaign.....not like W ever did that or based his whole campaign on it mind you.

8. Me too. Why does it seem like no one cares?
This is happening every day. What do we have to DO to get out of Iraq? Letters do nothing. Protests do nothing. What can we do?

11. For that picture alone Kerry should be man of the year.
Hope is right.

My son is the same age. He is a first responder Paramedic here almost safe in America. This is why we need to see these images. To me these young people are all of our children.

I am sitting here crying. I would have felt the same way if Bush put the flowers on the casket.

15. My sympathy is for the young man in the casket. and his family.
If Bush would have done it I would be in shock. That Bush will not does not surprise me. It just confirms the monstrosity.

John Kerry has humanity and courage.

If Bush now feels obligated to create a similar image for me it confirms his monstrosity. I doubt he would have had the fortitude to confront this situation.

14. Guess which photo the Houston Chronicle printed in today's paper?
Ted Kennedy putting flowers on the coffin. This exact same shot, but Kennedy putting the flowers on the coffin. You can see the legs of a man behind him in the cropped photo. I know it is Kerry, but no one else will have a clue Kerry was there. Can you believe they chose the Kennedy photo over Kerry? Typical. They endorsed Bush for president.
