Funniest verbal exchange I have ever witnessed on television
http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6645717/

<snip> FALWELL: And the gay couple. They chose to marry each other.

MATTHEWS: How did they get to be gay, though?

FALWELL: Well, we probably differ there.

MATTHEWS: I‘m asking.

FALWELL: But I think all behavior is chosen.

MATTHEWS: I‘m open. I don‘t know.

FALWELL: I think that...

MATTHEWS: Did you choose to be heterosexual?

FALWELL: I did.

MATTHEWS: You chose it? You thought about it and you came up with that solution? That lifestyle?

FALWELL: Put it this way. I was taught as a child that‘s the right way to...

MATTHEWS: But did you feel an attraction toward women?

FALWELL: Oh, of course. <snip>

MATTHEWS: How old were you when you chose to be heterosexual?

FALWELL: Oh, I don‘t remember that.

MATTHEWS: Well, you must, because you say it‘s a big decision.

FALWELL: Well, I started dating when I was about 13.

MATTHEWS: And you had to decide between boys and girls. And you chose girls.

FALWELL: I never had to decide. I never thought about it.

MATTHEWS: I think it‘s a ridiculous proposition that you actually sit down and decide. Let me see, boy or girl this week. Anyway...

FALWELL: I don‘t think anybody does that.

Note to mods. I went over the 4 paragraph rule because it is all one sentences. This is still only a small part of the transcript. If you would still like me to edit it down just say so and I will be happy to oblige. Take care.

3. It was 100% better seeing it live
Falwell was squirming.

6. Oh, I would have loved to have seen that
Falwell is a liar and a hypocrite. I can imagine that he was squiming pretty badly.

2. There it is, right out of the mouth of Fartwell.
FALWELL: I never had to decide. I never thought about it.
...
FALWELL: I don‘t think anybody does that.

He's just destroyed the entire right-wing anti-gay justification. He's admitted that being gay is NOT a choice.

I think Tweety may just have earned a shred of respect back from me, for putting Fartwell on the spot like that to expose their utter hypocrisy.

11. It's obviously predestination.
God chose Falwell to be hetero. I wonder why God chose to punish women that way.

5. Delicious.
At what point did it dawn on him that he was being asked to admit he was bisexual?

7. The dishonesty on this issue
is overwhelming. I was always attracted to girls from as far back as I can remember. My younger brother was always attracted to other boys from his earliest remembrance. Is there any reason we both feel the way we do? Choice my ass. I can fuck anybody, but my preference comes from a primeval place within my own consciouness. It's just as much me as that face I see in the mirror, and I frankly don't know where either of those came from.

8. Falwell contradicted himself
how many times in that interview?

Excellent interview. THAT's what Carville needed to do yesterday, put him on the defensive. When he doesn't control the interview, it's amazing how he falls to pieces.
