Zogby Poll: Santa Claus A Democrat, Scrooge & The Grinch Republicans
A plurality of likely voters say that longtime Christmas fixture Santa Claus is a Democrat, a new Zogby Int'l poll reveals. The same survey found voters even more sure of the political leanings of two other Christmas icons: Ebenezer Scrooge and the Grinch are likely Republicans.

24. So did the Grinch
After he stole Christmas and heard the Whos in Whoville still celebrating in spite of the lack of commercial goods.

27. The Grinch came around just in time to be celebrated at Xmas...
...for his caring and generosity.

Sort of like Republicans turning compassionate every 4 or so years.

We never did see what happened to The Grinch and Scrooge once Xmas was over.

8. The weirdest one was the one with all the Vietnam questions.
Zogby must have been hired by that country to do a survey on it's public image.

7. The Grinch who stole Christmas was written................
By Dr. Seuss of Massachusetts
He was a political cartoonist.
The story was based on an employer who would not let the employees have Christmas off.
This was during the Labor oppressive time.
Dr. Seuss had to be a democrat.

11. Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss) was a man of his times, but a Liberal..
.. thru and thru. And an unapologetic fighter for progressive causes. He's a fave of mine since childhood.

LOL. Cant wait to talk with my republican in-laws about this one.:headbang: SO what did the "moral majority" do? They voted for Scrooge and then told him he didn't have a mandate. Go figure.

16. Eragon
Speaking of fictional (well santa isn't exactly fictional but that's besides the point) characters who appear to be dems, I think in this great book Eragon (kind of like LOTR) there is a great anology to dems. You see there is an evil tyrant leading the empire, and there is a group The Varden, who rebel against him. I won't go into detail because i don't want to ruin the story for those who haven't read it. It's a great story, fantasy fans should check it out.

17. Here are the reason:
Santa is an evil Commie liberal because he takes away from the real focus of Christmas, that is, Jesus!!

And Scrooge is conservative because he is a good, god-fearing, white Christian man!

And the Grinch is conservative because...uh...he doesn't want those evil gays ruining the sacred institution of marriage!!

And George Baily? Democrat

Old Man Potter? Repuke

The Abominable Snowman? Unreformed Repuke ( who later reforms like the Grinch - they both become Democrats once they have some decent health care happening)

Linus? Democrat

Lucy? Repuke

Frosty? Independent

Professor Hinkel? KKKarl Rove

25. Sam Wainwright? Mr. Gower?
About It's A Wonderful Life - There is no doubt Potter is a Republican, saying all those poor people just need to work harder (while he sits in his warm comfy office)

Sam Wainwright (hee-haw!) is a little harder to guess. Shrewd, slick businessman, but never evil, and came through for his friend in the end.

Violet Bick doesn't vote, but doesn't she look pretty?

It's how they see themselves and it's how others see them.
