3. As someone who adopted 6 kitties from the shelter last year
I think the last damn thing we need is cloned pets.

I got four of them from a woman taking care of more than 50 cats. And those were only the ones deemed likely to be adopted.

I realize that the loss of a beloved pet is like the loss of a family member. But people need to realize that 1.) cloning pets when thousands of animals are euthanized is totally irresponsible and 2.) the cloned pet probably won't even look like the original. They often have different markings and different temprements.

(Cute kitties though.)
