On Language
We are reminded every day how important clear and concise communications need to be. Every day we are reminded that language can also be subverted to hide the real intent. The problem is that most of us have not been thinking in terms of how to create Orwellian language or to force double think. Our opponents have. They have millions and think tanks to do this
So I want you to think of the following terms and think what they trigger in you. We know what they are, double think, but first we need to understand how the double think is created, and calling them lies will not help. For our opponents they are not lies, even if they create cognitive dissonance.

Pro Life
Clear Skies Initiative
Healthy Forest Initiative
Leave no Child Behind
Once you understand that they are just genius it will be easier for you to create new frames.
Pro life, when you use that term in any discussion you AFFIRM the frames created by the Republican Noise Machine. In reality what it means is PRO FETUS. Don’t say Pro CHOICE, I know what it means and reflects our principles, but it also creates other frames, and the term has become too vague

Clear Skies initiative, hey what can we say it wrong with this? The Double Think comes from seeing a clear blue sky, yet the polluters polluting, that does not lead to a clear sky. So call it what it is, Polluting Skies initiative

Healthy Forest Initiative, ok, we do want forests that are healthy there is nothing wrong with this… fine call a space a space, Clear Cutting Initiative

Leave no child behind… sure school privatization

And so it goes. Take the slogans and deconstruct them and then equate them to what they truly are. Then get used to use them every day….

Oh and my favorite, CHEAP LABOR CONSERVATIVE, or GOP=REGRESSIVE… then there is the Credit Card Party,… leading to HISTORIC DEFICITS, emphasize that… and get used to using this in pieces you write and in conversation.

Remember, Message discipline is VERY IMPORTANT

4. Just remember,
when you do that, you may be asked to expand... be sure to emphasize the HISTORIC deficits

Under no circumstance say tax and spend... that is THEIR FRAME and will trigger the AH, we are talking of Democrats here.
