Mormon Choir Cancels Overseas Trips
Can someone tell the Mormons that Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden are not exactly countries with risk of terrorism?:eyes:

SALT LAKE CITY - The Mormon Tabernacle Choir has canceled its planned tour of northern Europe next year because of concerns about terrorism, and the choir will instead tour the Northwest.

The 360-voice choir was scheduled to make a summer tour by ship of Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

However, Gordon B. Hinckley, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, decided the trip would make the group an easy target for terrorists.

The tour was first changed to England, Scotland and Wales, with a stopover in Paris. But that, too, was deemed too dangerous and now the choir will visit cities in northern California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Idaho.

1. The times I've heard them
they're not really worth seeing live in the first place. It sounds almost as if they just cobbled together a big group of soloist wannabe's and told them to sing... it honestly sounded like a choir full of soloists...

Really, the last time I heard that choir sing, I was vastly unimpressed. My high school State Honors Choir performed better...

3. Mr & Mrs Mormon Choir. So you're afraid to go to Denmark and Norway...

but you'll tour the northwest? Did it ever dawn on you that terrorists probably place the MTC WAY down on the list of "things to do today" ..You want to bet that the crime rate in Norway and Denmark is lower than the Northwest.
While I'm at it, why do you elect people that cause the very danger that you're so scared of?

4. What a shame
I guess they have other reasons for avoiding possibly less-than receptive crowds.
