They almost never have gay people on to confront monsters like Falwell or Bill Bennett or Hannity.

Would they have an anti semite on without a jew to argue back?

Would they have a racist on without a black person to confront them?

There should be an FCC rule that every time Falwell or his ilk start lying about gay people, the channel has to give a gay person equal time to tell the truth.

So what we're left with is a cable channel that is a virtual arm of the RNC, spouting far rightwing propoganda 24/7, talk radio that is another virtual arm of the RNC and then the "mainstream media" that is so terrified of being accused of "liberal bias" that they also might as well be rightwing tools.

The problem is the media and that the republicans have everyone cowering with fear. We need an unabashedly left leaning news network. Now.

4. There's virtually no one to challenge the Radical Right on ANYTHING.

One thing the DNC and the left in general has failed miserably at is in PR.

The only Dems/LW who get air time on the tube are ususally weak and they let the RadRight frame the debates.

We will never survive as ANY LW movement if we can't make a case for our survival.

This is a universal weakness of the LW and it needs to be addressed NOW.

It may already be too late, but dammit, I want to see at least a fight.

Most of these shows, no matter the subject mattter, have a right wing host, an even more extreme right wing guest, and a moderate to "represent" the left.
