In my pre election canvassing, more women who were voting for Bush listed
terrorism as their number one issue of importance...not abortion. And they were just as stupid in my opinion.

That is all...

1. Oh yeah, I know
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune carried an article that featured a suburban soccer mom who was voting for Bush because the school siege in Russia had scared her.

17. That reminds me of one of Peter Hart's focus groups on Cspan (all women).
It was split pretty evenly between Kerry and Bush. Many of the Bush voters talked about Bush keeping them safe, etc.

Then he asked if they where lost in the woods, who would they rather be with them - Kerry or Bush? They almost all said Kerry.

That part made me want to scream. It was like they knew who would be the real coward and who would be the bad ass but in voting they completely disconnected from that.

2. I would not say STUPID, I would say AFRAID
(yes some were stupid)

But fear does unleash a certain authoritarian personality and the need for a protective DADDY to come save you...

Read "Don't think of an Elephant," trust me it will more than open your eyes

Here is something to make you smile

bushistheantichrist.com

No I don't believe in it, but asusme for a second this is the case... your fundie neighboor is part of the false church that will burn... and those of us who were not fooled will be saved.

See you can even see humor in your fundie neighbor's statements

but your neighbor is NOT the majority...

3. It's just like everything else...
they don't care until they need it. They don't want "socialized medicine" until they get a $200,000 bill from the hospital. They don't like trial lawyers until their backyard gets turned into a toxic swamp by Dow Chemical. They're all for war until their kids get drafted and die in some shithole country. Et cetera, et cetera.

10. When we were driving down I-94 on Thanksgiving weekend, there were
billboards still up for the election. The read with a smug pic of Bush and Cheney, "Boots...or Flip-Flops". When has Mr Bush ever donned a pair of combat boots to go into war? The duping of America is a sick, twisted thing. I'd feel sorry, but these people have had enough information given to them to prove the chicken hawkish nature of their "leader", and they just don't give a damn. The blood's on their hands now too.

11. Billboard reading "Boots ... or Flip-Flops"
Well, I'll just say you need flip-flops when life's a beach and you need boots when you're wading through shit.

I'm gettin' my hip-waders ready.

12. Ok I spent my Sunday Afternoon
in the rain... demonstrating for voting reform. I got the chance to talk to many of the people I am sure you talked to...

Who exactly has given them the information about George? I have yet to see a comprehensive (and not buried) story on his time in the guard and his going AWOL... actually deserting his post, but oh well

I have yet to hear a good comprehensive story regarding our crimes in Iraq

Need i mention a good comprehencisve story on school privatization, or social security privatization or the fact that both Bush and Chenney have DUI in their records. Amazing neither did many of the people, good people, I talked to today. Ok, so today was aobut the OH recount, and why it matters adn why they don't know about it.

As I said, YOU tried to educate them but it is also very much so still about who controls the media and what they get to hear on the teevee...

There is more... and this is just my impression, the ammount of people HONKING in support tells me that Bush DID NOT win... and that peoople know that in their guts, and are just waiting for the leaders to emerge and tell them, it is ok... you can say Fraud.

Oh and for the record, there is always a percentage of people ON BOTH SIDES that the other side cannot reach and will never reach...

Oh and by the way, the moral responsibilty of what is going on in Iraq is in your hands too. Yes today you live Reinhold Nieburh's paradox, you are a moral person living in an immoral society.
