Saw A Great Bumper Sticker Today...
It read:

"THE LAST TIME WE MIXED RELIGION WITH POLITICS, WE BURNED PEOPLE AT THE STAKE."

2. I saw that bumpersticker once on this tiny little car
and the driver was this little old lady who looked 90 years old. I was like, "Rock on, Grandma!" I hope I'm like her when I'm that age. Still fighting the good fight. :)

I'd love to get my hands on that bumpersticker. I've searched online (cafe press, etc) and haven't found it.

12. Well, I would prefer
the last time we mixed religion with politics, we got the Civil Rights Movement

13. Religion was used on both sides of that argument.
MLK was a preacher, yes, but the Americans that were against the Civil Rights Movement used religion and used the Bible to support their claims for segregation.

19. So you WANT to mix religion & politics?
You want to tear down that wall with Scalia?

20. There is a difference
between "mixing religion and politics" and "bridging the seperation of church and state". I have no problem with the former; It's the latter I have a problem with.

Do you think there was something wrong with the Rev Martin Luther King Jr's mixing politics and religion?
