Help me. I was watching Jack Van Impe again
Good grief. He was Jonesing for the end of the world. And atheists are the ones who are morally bankrupt?

Frank Herbert in some of his books outside of his Dune trilogy wrote of a desire for self destruction that seems to have gone hand in hand with human society. Its really there isn't it?

1. Yes it is really there.
My brother is caught between my fundie parents' and older brother's beliefs and me, the one who he seems to identify with so he has this Jack Van Impe complex as if that bridges the gap. Especially fond is he of Jack's beliefs in UFO's and biblical references to them.

It's nuts, I tell you!!!

2. *shudder
Him and his plastic looking co-host are scary, scary people.

Cannot say I have ever seen him speak for longer than it took to go to the next station though.

Yikes!

4. What's his wife's name? Mozilla? Franzilla? Godzilla?
They crack me up!

Fundies have a deathwish. It comes from being afraid of living. Lots of people are afraid of living, want Jesus to come smite their enemies. Union folks have the same philosopny about 'the man'---paranoid the co. is out to screw them (ok, they're usually right).

Cracks me up, the fundie death wish.

5. Jack's my favorite!
First-class lunacy. Good stuff!

And, yes, there really is a sort of death wish that goes with humans, I'm not sure if society has anything to do with it or not. I don't think that they actually want destruction, however. I think that they *fear* destruction and express this way to fake out the fates or god or whatever. Just my opinion.

8. I find Jack Van Impe very soothing
Very smooth delivery. Just don't actually listen to what he says. Kinda like a wave machine.

And Rexella is hot.

9. I think Rexella is so amusing!
She is so sappy sarcastic when reading the current news and waiting to see what Jack has to say! She always reminded me of that founder of Cosmopolitan magazine and I never understood what she saw in Jack! Then they had that commentator who sounded like he was advertising for a toothpaste commercial! Rexella always said something like "God loves you, and so do we!" I felt like I was watching Mr. Rogers!

I've always been a prophecy buff so don't shoot me!:P
