Being the pResident is one major ego trip for the Chimperor and that's all it is to him. He is one very insecure little man and it shows in so many ways.

in a military like jacket addressing the wildly cheering troops and telling them that killing the terrorists is a sacrifice.
And they cheered and cheered as he strutted about in his military costume and sat down to eat with the most humble amongst them--a cute little female marine. His plate was piled high with food compared to the "normal" plate as seen in front of the soldiers, but no photos show him eating it. But it was obviously the plate of a glutton--and I mean that metaphorically as well as realistically.
He loves this role as the "war president" Death is his pleasure.
This is very scary. This is the military mesmerized by this ass of a phoney, cheering him on because he is feeding them the rambo kill the terrorists in Iraq meme--when there were none when he decided to attack innocent civilians and kill them to the tune of 100,000 of them, many if not most of them, women and children
And the crowds cheered on.
It is scary, because not only has he the other two branches of the government under his insane control, but apparently, also has the military, who at his orders, may someday fire upon their own people and there will be no conscience, just as there is none in Iraq.

47. Apparently, all Marines can wear the tanker jacket |
|
From the Marine uniform reg:
3014. JACKET, TANKER 1. The tanker jacket, authorized for individual optional purchase and wear, is made of a pewter gray polyester/wool gabardine material that has been treated to be water-repellent/resistant.
2. The jacket may be worn with the Dress "C"/"D" uniforms, the Service "B"/"C" uniforms and service or blue dress uniform with sweater. When worn the jacket will be zipped at least to the top (i.e., the highest point) of the external slash pockets. When worn with the sweater, the sleeves and the waistband of the sweater will be rolled up or under to ensure they do not extend below the jacket's sleeves/waistband.
3. Officers will wear their insignia of grade on the shoulder straps in the same manner as worn on the all-weather coat. Enlisted Marines will wear metal/plastic insignia of grade on the shoulder straps, single point inboard, and placed in the same manner as field/company grade officer's insignia.
4. The jacket will not be worn with the all-weather coat, nor will it be worn with the utility uniform. It will not be worn for inspections, ceremonial formations, or parades. It may be worn for leave/liberty. The jacket is authorized for wear, without insignia, with civilian clothing.
The Marines seem to use this as their equivalent of the Army Windbreaker--a short overcoat to wear with your semi-formal uniforms.
What this looks like: someone in Camp Pendleton's command group thought it would be really neat if Bush had a special souvenir, so they got a tanker jacket from Clothing Sales, sewed a Marine Corps seal patch on one side, and had "George W. Bush, Commander In Chief" embroidered on the other. Then they gave it to Little Georgie, who thought it was wonderful and put it right on.
This doesn't forgive Bush for strutting around like Mussolini.

14. Did you like the latest "bring 'em on" style message to the troops? |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-07-04 07:00 PM by Postman
The cowardly chickensh*t A-Hole wearing his Commander-in-Chief jacket pretending to give a damn about "the troops" was telling a story about the Korean War where US forces were surrounded by the Chinese Army and the order was given to "shoot in all directions"
If I had a kid over in Iraq I'd be one pissed off MoFo. This dimwit goes around pretending to be a "war president" while someone else's kids are in harms way for lies.
You'd think that his "advisors" would have told him to shut his fucking mouth after his "bring 'em on" comment. So brave is he to say such a thing safely tucked away in his D.C. bunker while Pvt. Sucker wonders if he'll survive another mortar attack in the so-called "green zone".

Lots of us have been really worried for 4 years now. The fascist makeover of our country will be complete before too much longer, with the enthusiastic support of millions of our fellow citizens.
I see no escape from the encroaching darkness. I only hope that something strong and good might possibly emerge out of the ashes of our destroyed republic someday in the future...
Again, welcome to DU. :hi:

we ARE really worried.
A little poem for bushco:
Perfection, of a kind, was what he was after And the poetry he invented was easy to understand; He knew human folly like the back of his hand, And was greatly interested in armies and fleets; When he laughed, respectable senators burst with laughter, And when he cried the little children died in the streets.
