Pastor fired over sexual exploitation charges (Had been honored by Bush)
http://www.theiowachannel.com/news/3976822/detail.html

A Des Moines youth pastor is charged with sexual exploitation by a counselor.
KCCI learned that the married father of four recently turned himself in to Johnston police.
Rev. Mike Hintz was fired from the First Assembly of God Church, located at 2725 Merle Hay Road, on Oct. 30. Hintz was the youth pastor there for three years.
Police said he started an affair with a 17-year-old woman in the church youth group this spring.

This story was also on the local news in Cedar Rapids, IA (KCRG), and they said this guy had been honored by Bush during one of his visits to Iowa prior to the election. I think it had something to do with his family benefiting from the tax cuts. Still looking for a link with this information.

Another shining example of right-wingnut hypocrisy.

5. Proving once again that marriage does not stop someone from

committing sex crimes, and that people who are attracted to adolescents or pre-pubescent children gravitate towards careers that give them regular contact with young people.

6. Come on
It's a little bit of a stretch to call a 17 year old pre-pubescent.
I think the guy is a victim of his own ridged moral values. Values such as that at a certain date and time people suddenly all become sexual mature and responsible. Of course a judge could be able to use his judgment to see if the women was mature enough to be engaged in such a relationship. But Republicans want fixed laws with fixed punishment and absolutely no interpretation of the circumstances. So he's screwed. Great.

8. Read more carefully, please. I clearly said

"adolescent or pre-pubescent," assuming that readers would realize into which category a 17 year-old fit.
