Mr Reid called Clarence Thomas an "embarrassment" on Meet the Press, and approved of Scalia; Novak(The Cryptkeeper) says it must be racially motivated.

Novak: The implication is that Thomas is a black man who is not smart enough, while Scalia is a white man who is.

Place a minority right-wing nut job in a high profile position then wait until the critics (Dems) come out and note the fact that the candidate is not up to the job -- and BINGO, Racism! From a Republican this is the best of hypocrisy but over time this little game can have a negative impact on all involved.

10. Of course. When Thomas said he was the subject of a high-tech

lynch mob (or something to that effect) he pushed enough buttons to get the Dems shaking in their boots and calling off the attack. But in Thomas's case, his record, or lack of it, speaks for itself. On all the points which matter, he has failed. He would be incompetent for a white man. And that's what anyone who is up against Hannity and Novak should say.

he is like bernard kerik. a clueless buffoon. he never says anything at the hearings. how the fuck does one become a supreme court justice yet just sit their asses up there and not say anything ?

Neither deserve praise....from anyone.

However, it doesn't make you a racist to point out that Thomas is an embarrassment...since he wasn't worthy of the job he now holds and doesn't deserve recognition. Provided your motivation is job performance and character assessment.

Had the comment been made against Scalia, I'm sure Novak would have still cried racism...against Italians.

We are talking Novak, afterall. His character is deeply flawed...regardless of his skin hue.
