Bushes are trying to shift blame to the Saudis?
Dan Burton was contemplating a congressional investigation of the three princes who coincidentally all died suddenly within two days after it was revealed that they had ties to Osama bin Laden.

I suddenly got the feeling that the BFEE is going to try to blame their whole Empire on the House of Saud.

I guess with Iraq secure, they don't need the Saudis anymore.

1. Ummm... Burton? Burton? Same guy shooting up...
... pumpkins in his back yard? Yup.

The CIA can't even infiltrate Saudi Arabia easily. How does Burton propose to investigate the death of three Saudi princes on Saudi soil?

This is all smoke and mirrors. If the Bushes turn traitor on their Saudi friends, watch what happens to Saudi oil....

If the Bushes wanted to submerge the House of Saud, I'm sure they could have done it already, with much more than what's on 28 redacted pages. Besides, the Saudis are Poppy's meal ticket (well, lunch is on the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, admittedly).

At best, what would such an investigation reveal? That the House of Saud offed three of their own for being indiscreet and not covering their tracks well enough. At worst, that the CIA managed to extract some revenge by foreign assassination (which, incidentally, * thinks is okay).

Frankly, if Burton has a brain (and that is in some doubt), he's misplaced it.

Neither prospect furthers what people really want to know--why did 9/11 manage to happen despite having the most expensive intelligence system in the world?

Cheers.

2. the last american soldier left saudi a week ago
Bush could not help satisfy the demands of his chum Osama bin laden, who is hanging out in the shadow government bunker with cheney smoking the grass stash they have to survive a 100 year nuclear disaster. I bet its really not fun to be stoned with those hollow stupid men.

Regime change in saudi arabia is now expected, as no assets are at risk. I presume the CIA is busy on that... as surely shrubster's conquoring instinct cannot stop until he is put down.

. . . Iraq secure? My patootie!

I'm in Baghdad right now and the word "Secure" doesn't exactly reflect the reality.

How about "chaotic," "crazed," "dangerous," "vicious," "unstable," or The Big One: "quagmire?"

I am far away from Baghdad and would imagine that...
Well, I'm not planning on vacationing there.

6. The Bushies would sell their grandmothers if they had to
When push comes to shove, there is always a fall guy to be found.
No doubt there are embarassing facts the
White House would prefer to keep secret .
Dead princes tell no tales.
