Told You: France and Germany Hold The Cards
The other day I told you that Bush's going to UN with hat in hand meant that France & Germany hold the cards.

Today it's announced that France & Germany have already rejected Bush's proposal to the UN. Tee Hee!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A25028-2003Sep4.html

Why won't they listen to me!!! Give up the profits birdbrain. Our soldiers are worth more than profits. We need to get completely out.
It's another case of pure arrogance to believe we are the only ones that can "fix" Iraq.

Rather than make the US a superpower, Bush is bringing us to our knees. Somebody please do a cartoon of Bush crying on his knees with his hands held out (cowboy hat in one hand) to the UN and France, Germany and Russia.

I fear he has done irreparable harm. We will not be able to reverse the world scheming against us situation that Bush has caused.

Maybe this will finally be the thing that really pisses his support of. His braggadocio is making us weaker, not stronger. And after all the shit his supporters have said about the UN, they are eating a lot, and I mean A LOT -- of crow.

5. And they're still being stupid.
What makes anyone think that a UN force still commanded by America will take less hits!

Maybe I'm the stupid one. I just don't get it.

7. They will not give up
the $$$$$$ easily, after all thats why we are there in the first place. It should be interesting to look at Haliburton's financials soon and see how much they (and crashcart) have made.

11. Should investors start to think about unloading
Halliburton and Becthel stock before the shit hits the fan? Hope they counted big time on the profits they won't make now. They will simply HAVE to give up some of their contracts over there.

(so to speak). They just said "yo, Bush--fuck you and the horse you rode in on, buckaroo"!!But, I totally LOVE the way they did it. They said something to the effect that Bush's plan did not go far enough towards ever giving control back over to the Iraqi people. Noooooo kidding--you mean we just want to use other's troops and money to calm things down so we can have our own Saddam-like puppet kick ass, keep the bastards down and turn the oil spiket on.......us, golly gee, not us!!! Want to sneak something in here. We had a poster from Europe about one year ago who said that Bush is so detested by the leaders of European governments that there will "operatives" put in this country to help defeat him in '04. I thought of that when I heard this announcement. Hopefully, France and Germany, et al, can work all this to the most advantageous way possible to make George look like an incompetent ass and to make the American people literally loath him. Hang in there UN------and keep BBQing that crow.

13. Tee Hee Hee!
The world really is becoming more interconnected. The very opposite of the Bush view, i.e., "we big and bad enough to go it alone".
For the first time it looks like other nations will have a significant role to play in American elections.
