Bush's "never ending wars" spells end to the New Deal (that's the intent).
Edited on Wed Dec-08-04 03:48 PM by Zinfandel
Education, Social Services, nutrition programs for seniors & children, college loans, etc. as well as the underfunding of corporate regulatory agencies--like the EPA, SEC, BLM, etc...

Republicans always want HIGH unemployment--It helps corporations keeps wages lower, benefits down, (more people fighting for less jobs). It keeps the military ranks filled-- With no jobs (and less student loans) what's left?

With Bush's "never ending wars" of corporate imperialism and resource grabbing from weak countries, it keeps the American people hostage with bullshit fears of terrorist. Americans will go along with anything if promised safety. (When will the "throwing flowers at our troops" begin?) They don't want the war to end, fuck the troops, they are ONLY workers.

War is the perfect republican excuse and reason to cut and gut ALL domestic programs...while the corporations continue to get filthy rich through our tax dollars.

This has been all planned out-- fascist republican conservative ideology---right-wing "think tanks" for the past 60 years (with a lot of help from past Nazi propaganda and tactics).

The Republicans have ALWAYS hated and vowed to destroy FDR's liberal, "New Deal" and they are very close now, so close they can taste it.

Social Security-privatizing (under "small private investments" for workers retirement). Once they have their foot in the door with "small investments" it's over. The corporations will have control.

Education- with school vouchers meant to destroy the teachers unions and further "dumb down" America. While destroying UNIONS of every kind. They are almost there. Corporate owned schools?

Minimum wage-the republicans have made it basically a joke, they will never talk about it nor think about raising it, while keeping working people in poverty. So what, it helps the huge corporations like McDonald's and Walmart's (but the republicans always insist, publicly, they are trying to "protect the small businessman").

And the republican owned corporate media pounds the republican lies home 24/7-- Along with republican corporations owned electronic voting machines, it keeps Americans from really knowing the truth and our true numbers.

1. They are also destroying the military. Private contractors are already in
regular use. Our tax dollars will still pay for the military but we will be paying "market" prices for protection by for-profit firms like Halliburton,

The military will be loyal to their corporate masters, not the citizens.

2. The whole plan ....
Was to wipe out the 'liberal agenda' that was implemented since FDR's New Deal ... By what EVER means possible ....

That 'liberal agenda', which they refer to as 'failed', but which instead has been an unmitigated success, has formed the foundation of our lives ever since ....

It has generated the Middle Class .... and made the very rich super rich as well ... But I guess that isnt enough ....

This is an excellent post, Zin, of a deeply troubling fact: the GOP are leading us STRAIGHT into the 1920's once more .....

Expect the same results ...

4. Right, the "1920's" workers getting their heads busted in, no Unions,
Edited on Wed Dec-08-04 03:31 PM by Zinfandel
low pay, no benefits, no social programs or recourse and with no voice, as they suck up our tax dollars and offer the workers nothing in return.

And the corporations pretend they are doing the workers a favor by giving us what jobs they offer, to increase their profits, along with stealing our taxes for their corporate welfare (subsidies ) and corporate tax breaks.

It works both ways, what product would they have without the workers and our tax dollars?

They don't care about workers health, fuck benefits, with designed high unemployment, there's always more workers to choose from and to exploit for their own greed.

destroy the EPA, and then wreck social security and the public school system, and finish with saying goodbye to the National Park System.

5. While the corporations distort and ruin our political system...
Edited on Wed Dec-08-04 03:53 PM by Zinfandel
with their huge donations and lobbyist to the corporate republican party for their interest, at the expense of our children's future, our environment, our soldiers being killed and our workers.

Talk about voting against ones own interest...Rove gets the job done though BBV and smokescreens of gay, minority and womens rights, under the guise of Christianity while they dismantle every working program our tax dollars fund that helps the working people.

All for the corporations insatiable greed & control.

6. Very well said....
Why is America so asleep?
If we don't wakeup soon the American Dream will be long gone.
This is what the voters need to hear over and over like a cold slap in the face that will hopefully awaken them.

9. America is 'asleep' because Kerry "wanted to ban Bibbles."
And "let the homo's mary."

The GOP has co-opted the Christian fundamentalists who don't even think of minimum wage as long as their "family values" are protected.

7. Yes, well said.
As Americans watch TV and ignore the fact their life as they know it is being "dismantled" bit by bit right under their noses by the corporate republicans, worker hating, selfish, lying agenda.

10. This lends credence to the 'theory' that the Bushies 'allowed' 911...
...to happen. It explains why they ignored ALL THE WARNINGS and were so slow to react on that fateful day.

Just look at what they got in return. They OWN America.
