In support of the sanctity of democracy
Rev Jackson today mentioned a constitutional amendment something to the effect of the right to a fair vote.

IMHO, this is a vital talking point that should be discussed by all democrats. If GWBush can discuss amending the constitution to outlaw gay marriage, supposedely in support of marriage....then democrats should discuss loudly and openly the right to a fair and open voting system...and amend the constitution in support of the sanctity of democracy through voting rights.

This goes beyond party lines, beyond partisanship and is something that virtually every American can and should support fully.

It can become a shining beacon of democracy and enlightenment of America throughout the world - the sanctity of democratic rule through fair and free elections and voters rights.

OK duers - flame away.

1. This would be the first step to a national standard for elections
We need a national holiday for voting and the votes should be cast on voter verified, paper ballots that are hand counted. This should be in every state in the country.

I think this is a great idea. Make "sanctity" a Democratic word! I love it.

3. I believe in the sanctity of voting
Whether or not if it goes the best way for the Dems. If they are guilty, prosecute them as well, but laws need to be applied equally and fairly.

On the local level here, the Dems have had their houses cleaned when it comes to fraud and corruption. Frankly, I've been happy to see it happen. There is no more important right than the people's ability to chose their leaders and representatives.

Screw with that, and you should be jailed.
