Anyone hear about Arnold's Stunt at the 2004 CA Governer's Conferance?

The "Stunt" happened when those protesting nurses came in and started yelling at Arnold for raising the patient to nurse ratio from 1-5 to 1-6 (the 1-5 rule was instated by Davis.) After the Nurses were escorted out Arnold said the "Special Interest" groups were mad because he "kicks their butt"?

I'd like to see him looking after people in a hospital. Hospital nursing is one of the most stressful professions out there, I know, because I used to be one and became totally burned out.

This was one piece of great leglislation from Gray Davis. Arnold is an ass-wipe doing the bidding of his own "special interests", ie the hospitals and insurance companies.

and I worked in ICU where we had a max of 2 patients depending on their status. It started to change and get really iffy as to safety and I left. I miss it like crazy but will never go back. HARD work for little pay but it used to feel good enough to make up for that.

We are allready overworked and most hospitals had problems maintaining the 1-5. Where I work its more like 1-8.

Fuck you Ah-Nold I hope you lose your money, have a CVA and end up a patient in a 1-8 staffed facilty.

understaffing the nurses. Mistakes are made. Procedures are ignored due to time contraints. People can die because the nurses are stretched too thin to do their job right. Course Ahhhnold will be safe. He can buy the best nurses to grope.

Remember this when Ah-nold has to go to the hospital. Make him wait for ages to get the bedpan peeled off his sweaty ass, the whole bit. Show him what happens to the rest of us when nurses have to deal with too many patients. :mad:

I admit I was only half-paying attention ... but, I know it featured someone in a nurse's uniform (actor? real nurse?) lauding and thanking the Gropinator ... sounds like disinfo/propaganda PR to me ... I'm guessing it's related ...
