"You're Welcome. I'm a Democrat." An idea to change "conventional wisdom"

I was speaking to my father on the phone last week and he told me about an idea he had, to help combat the right-wing attempt to smear Democrats as snobby elitists.

We all do good deeds right? At least every now and then? Hold a door open for a stranger, help someone pick up their stuff when they drop it, remind someone their headlights are still on, etc?

So how about, everytime you do a good deed, everytime you help a stranger, everytime someone says, "Thank you," you answer with a simple and easy to remember yet straightforward answer.

"You're welcome. I'm a Democrat!"

7. I was thinking about the very same thing earlier today.

I was thinking that Democrats could follow the example of Christ -- feed the hungry, visit the sick, care for widows and orphans and so forth, and then "witness" to others that the compassion and sacrifice come from Democratic values. It would be amazing.
