Wedding Cake Guy (Brian Wms) Sees "No Prob" in No Minorities in Top Jobs

NO PROBLEM?

NBC anchor Brian Williams is already in hot water barely a week after filling Tom Brokaw's shoes. Asked by United Airlines' Hemisphere magazine about the scarcity of women and non-whites in top jobs at news organizations, he replied, "We have bigger problems. There are no black members of the U.S. Senate. We should keep some perspective on this." He seems to have forgotten Sen.-elect Barack Obama (D-Ill.). The National Association of Black Journalists has slammed Williams' remarks and asked for a meeting with NBC brass. An organization called Journalists of Color, representing Asian-American, Hispanic and Native-American journos, also expressed displeasure. Williams has issued a statement saying he values equality.

3. He is a Bush plant

He knew exactly what he said and he meant it.

During the "WAR" before Mission Not
Accomplished, there were no black journalist doing hard news.

Rarely see any except those doing the weather reports.

CNN and FOX puts us to good use, they have Carlos Watson and others that lead people to believe that they are giving the minority view. Good trick because it works for many, they are fooled.

Gwen Ifill is Condi's best friend.

Tavis Smiley is the only one that I can think of that I trust.

Oops, like the lovely lady on ABC in the morning. She just reads the news she isn't allowed to comment like that slime ball Charles Gipson.

Those are just my impressions. Correct me if I am wrong.

Star Jones does not keep her mouth closed to my knowledge. Whenever I have heard them discuss an issue that is racial in tone, she will always speak up. She is not a News reporter however.

Brian Williams makes me sick.

4. In Fairness
We don't have any black senators. Barack Obama is a Senator Elect, and doesn't become a Senator for a few more weeks.

By saying 'we have bigger problems' he is admitting that the scarcity of women and non-whites in top jobs is a problem, he's just saying that the fact that the U.S. Senate is totally dominated by white men is a bigger one.

Anyway who cares. He's a pretty boy anchorman. He's paid to read and look at a camera, not think on his feet.

6. If being pretty was the only requirement, I'd rather watch George Clooney
deliver the news. We hope in this country
that we get our news from someone who isn't
pushing a partisan agenda and is intelligent
enough to find the facts. Brian Williams
was abhorrent during Clinton's impeachment
hearings...he doesn't deserve a top spot
in our limited network anchor positions.

And believe me, if he was any color other
than white, he wouldn't be there. He's
mediocre at best.

8. notice it's only cool for white men to brag about getting low grades
while having top positions in jobs. like Bush.

can you imagine a minority or female doing the same.

7. News organizations are run by the same people who run the country
Rich white corporations run by rich white men. It is a big problem, Mr. "No brain" Williams.

Thank Gawd I don't watch television.
