I would like to see the Democratic Party adopt these resolutions:
Edited on Thu Dec-09-04 11:30 AM by CoffeeAnnan
1.Repudiate the PNAC document in its entirety.
2.Remove all Democrats who were cosignatories of that nefarious document.
3.Repudiate Supply Side Economics as a fraud.
4.Stand for Universal Health Care, Prescription drugs for elderly,
handicapped and mentally ill people.
5.Affirm the inviolability of Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid.
These programs must not be allowed to be corrupted by subjecting them to the vagaries of the market.
6.Allow the entry of foreign generated prescription drugs into the U.S.market.
7.Corporations that benefit by public funds ( e.g. Defense Contractors) should be prevented from outsourcing American jobs.
8.More transparency should be required of public agencies like the FDA, FAA,SEC and others.

This is only a partial list.Unless we shout these things from the rooftops, our idiot media, lazy as ever, will not stop saying we stand for nothing. In fact, that gives me another thing to talk about.Media conglomerates must be broken up using our Anti-Trust laws.

3. Well
6.Allow the entry of foreign generated prescription drugs into the U.S.market.

I think if you got 4 and 5 then number 6 becomes less important.

8. Personally I like the restoration of power to the FDA to include supplements, alternative medicine and homeopathic medicine.

5. Very good
I would also add that the Democratic platform should include wording to the effect that they would support abolishing BBV and that all voting systems need to have a paper trail back-up.

6. And measured
I think all voting systems should have peer reviewed studies of their error rates and all elections should include provisions for run offs for results within the unavoidable counting error.

7. In fact, a nationwide independent Election Commission should be set up
to run Presidential elections. They should be the only people empowered to inspect voting machines, and count the votes.
