yorgatron, I think that article did the trick.
I've been gently working on him for nearly a week now talking about things mentioned on this thread and mentioned by the guys at work I've talked with. I think that article smacked him right upside the head with a good dose of reality. When you see the number of deaths and the number of wounded reality sets in.

Now he's talking about taking his time. He also mentioned that he wants to talk to a Navy recruiter too. That's the kind of stuff I wanted to hear.

Thanks all.

If nothing changes with this that's 1 less stressor. In another 2 hours another stressor will be gone that has been around since July. Then there will be 3 stressors left but only 2 that can change for the better. The last one is going to be around for years I hope, because it beats the alternative.

Dan
a big thank you to the people of DU,who originally found the articles and posted them in LBN-george

1. Why would someone swear to kill for Bush?
That's my question. Why would he even consider doing that? I don't understand why someone would put themselves in a position where they may have to kill for Bush, and I've wondered that for a long time. Why?

4. College
You're right that some are, but it's a shame that kids now will take the oath to serve Bushie just to go to college. They're better-off doing something honest like getting a lower-paying job without going to school.
