PUFF! FOX is gone!
This is not a fantasy......
quote........

The war between progressives and conservatives for control of Cable TV News is about to go to the next level. An upstart company has developed a filtering device that people can use to block the reception of the Fox News Channel in their homes.

it will send a notice of purchase and use to Fox News' top ten advertisers for each unit sold.

6. Soooo, people are going to ...
spend money for a device to block a channel that they wouldn't watch anyway? ONLY IN AMERICA!

13. We have digital cable (not compatible with the gadget), and we're
getting one anyway. Such things should be encouraged. I've spent $9 on far more stupid things... :)

16. Only in America do you have to pay for channels you don't want
to watch the ones you do want. The cable company LOVES to say they don't have the technology for people to just pay for the stations they want, but they seem to have no trouble applying technology for their numerous and expensive premium channels.

$9 to send a message? Worth it.

9. God knows what you'll trade for it. Better yet throw out your TV-Sets
altogether. I've been doing without one for 15 years and I'm none the worse for it.

*looks around at the bulging book shelves* erm well. Other than having to get a bigger place sometime soon.

10. The filters need to be installed at the junction boxes.
As I said in a similar thread, watch all the people walk out of their homes rubbing their eyes, waking up with FOX-hangovers.

21. hey Swamp, love this floating evil Smirk-head.
perfect. :D

I'd like to buy one of those boxes too, even though I've never watched Fux. But the fact that the co. informs Fux advertisers--that is sa-weeeet!!!

14. I had a TV 10 years ago that would let you skip over channels you didn't
want.

Shouldn't this feature be standard by now?

Sorry, sounds gimmicky to me. Just email the advertisers that you're boycotting them.

15. For $9.........
BUY ONE just to support the advertising boycott. This is tangible PROOF to an advertiser we don't like WHERE he is advertising...I love it!

17. Or you could just tell him you've deleted fox as my old TV did.
Either way you have to do some amount of work to make it happen. I don't think this is any more tangible to an advertiser.

Besides, I hate having to screw around with the multitude of wires and cables behind my TV/stereo setup.:scared:

20. I already have the filter you're refering to...
...it's called a remote. And I can turn off Fox at any time of my chosing. But, seriously, has anyone seen Ann Coulter lately? Is she on the Olsen Twins diet or something?
