Unbelievable! FCC checking OLYMPIC GAMES for Indecency

In response to one or more indecency complaints, the Federal Communications Commission has asked NBC to send it tapes of its coverage of the Summer Olympics Opening Ceremonies in Athens, the network confirmed late yesterday.

Ironically, the night before, NBC's Summer Games coverage was named the family-friendliest special of 2004 during WB's broadcast of the sixth annual Family Television Awards. The awards are given by the Family Friendly Programming Forum, a group of 46 major national advertisers working to encourage networks to produce more family-friendly prime-time fare.

Shoot, I've never understood the idea of sex being a spectator sport, so I take advantage of the obligatory Hollywood sex scene to hit the bathroom. However, I understand that there are some folks who go to films wholly on the basis of that obligatory sex scene. My convenience, their jollies, who cares?

Folks, it's called the OFF SWITCH. If something offends you, TURN IT OFF. The nightly propaganda hour parading as news offends me, so I turned it off a little over a month ago. I don't give a rip about adult content in shows geared to an adult audience. If you're concerned about your BAY-BEES, read to them with the TV off.

I hope the rapture is true. I really, really want to be rid of these people once and for all.

Meanwhile in Canada, we are all looking forward to "The Trailer Park Boys" Xmas Special which will air 2moro night at 9. If you havn't heard about it its about some guys who live in a trailer park who try to make ends meet by growing dope and coming up with other crazy schemes. Lots of swearing and dope smoking too.

12. you guys laugh, i on the other hand remember last summer

calling my two boys into my room, specifically to watch sport and the individual excelling in the body, in grace and power and dedication, only to have a piece done on a swimmer i believe. as the boys sat and watched, in my excitement in sharing of my own experience in competitive swimming of 20 years in youth, they did a profile on this woman how she has an outside job, doing porno shots for playboy and they go on to show on tv her posing for the camera in these shots in sexually provocative poses.

giggles we all say, good for her we all say. my 6 and 8 year old boys watch this instead of the dedication in sport, and yes i can turn it off. as i sit and watch this piece develop thinking it will end, go no further, and it goes further and further, talking sex........til the point i see just aint gonna stop and have to turn off tv. boys sitting there made even more of an impression me turning off

so do we have the right. yup. is it healthy in raising children. no. can i just get rid of my tv, might be the only option cause i am living in a nation so busy pointing fingers at the puritan and not understanding a parent responsibility or issue with this

european dance magazine several months ago that had a full page picture of the topless dancer in costume. wow did i ever get turned on!!! broke could just barely "contain" myself. really it was a very stunning picture of a woman in a amazing costume. next they will be going after the art and music...oh wait,they are already doing that
