Paula Zahn
seems to always show a smirk, that suggests a person bloated with hubris. Maybe it's how I see her on tv; pomp, pretentious. Maybe I'm just thinking of Pale Male, but it's more.
She stays, but we lose Bill Moyers, Dan Rather, and Tom Brokaw. And so the mainstream media advances their nugatory slant.

1. She used to actually be
pretty good several years ago, but she sucks royally now. I think she picked up "the smirk" from the King Smirker himself. It's too bad, really, because at one time she really did have some talent.

from the Co-ops in Manhattan.I'm sure that witch was behind it. She's the type that pulls wings off flies
She is outdone in her opinionated nastiness by Daryn Kagen

3. I'm not seeing much of anyone with talent (or genuine curiosity) on

CNN, etc these days. Yes, of course, there's still some great ones like Dan Rather and Moyers left, but the rest seem like they are killing time until their next spa vacation, botox injection, or RNC party. One morning the guest newsreader on Today show looked just like the guest co-host (Ann Curry and Katie C. were away). Damn clones.

5. Paula Zombie is so unbearably smug.
And she's such a lightweight. But she's in good company... most of the others are just as lame, silly, vapid and full of themselves. I can't decide which of them I loathe the most, but Paula's on my list.

7. Before I lost my
naivete, I used to watch Paula like a puppy on the sofa. Now, I find all tv news, as I said, nugatory. So, I have turned to DU and others for my news. I am a convert from the world of laying on the sofa tv watching the likes of worthless stuff.
Of course shows as William Campbell's "The Power of Myth" aired tonight on public television are exceptions to the rule.
