New Group?:"Our Music, Our Voices - Free Downloads"

I would like to see a group devoted to compiling lists of music, video, speeches, whatever, that serve the people and have been made freely available for anyone to copy and distribute. Many of our best poets and light-bringers are doing this, and some really wonderful art has been created and is being given to us all, but finding it a matter of luck and/or determination.

The restrictions I see are that the group would exclude stuff that is available only in streaming format and accessible only to those with net access, and thus are not set up to be redistributable, and it obviously would exclude illegal copies.

It might be useful to establish some sort of standards for topic headings that would make the group more easily parsed and searched -
"Author - Title" or such, Or maybe "Content-type - Author - Title" but I'd like more discussion before defining the rules for posting.

I know I've picked up a lot of wonderful work and passed it on to others, but I lose track of where it came from and simply never found a lot more. Having a resource like a group such as this would be helpful to me, so consider this a request for help.

As an aside, I also see such a group as a part of the process of building a new counter-culture and an alternative economic system.
