A case for conspiracy literature
Alot of very open minded Dem progressives and liberals think most conspiracy books are total garbage. This to me seems as narrow minded as republican think (non think). My wife who is a champion of the cause laughs at me for reading conspiracy and at the same time has never read any of my wacky books she jokes about. Deep inside some of these books hidden by chapters on secret old boy clubs and gray aliens are some very important findings. Why the right hates the U.N. the A.C.L.U. and alot of very American things that protect us all.It is hard to an author seriously that goes into Lizard People,Men in Black and cheap pre fab hokum about paranoid screeds and new age profits.
These authors do fall into some facts even when they start researching wacky concepts. If people laugh at you for reading conspiracy books tell them it beats watching t.v. and buying that set of crud.

1. Have your wife take a look at this!

I know what you mean about some of this stuff. The guy with the lizard people theory is named Ekkes or something like that. I perused his tome at BN the other night and it really grabs you until you start worrying someone you know might walk up and find you reading the book.

If you want a fun night at home, go rent "They Live" which is essentially the lizard people conspiracy movie (maybe the origin, who knows). It's great!

2. Alot of the cheapo sci fi from the 50s is great stuff
Pod People to drugged masses saluting a dictator. Some of it is just cowboys & indians in space ships or the aliens come to earth and tell us to get our shit together. The street scenes from Blade Runner look alot like down town L.A. and David Ickkey or what ever his name is has a few pages of some thought provoking truth inside his jibberish. The creationists, white power flat earthers have had alot of thier thoughts put to them by some spooky people who are payed with our tax money.Alot of what is behind this march to ignorant empire can be tracked back to the early intelegence communitys just playing around with some ideas.I don't believe in a lurking super bad guy sect like " Shmersh " or " Dr. Evil " but there are some bone heads out there that play around with spy tricks and get way to into the game to stop and grow up into humans.

3. I think you've found the real lizard people--grandiose bureaucrats!

These clowns foment their twisted fantasies and turn them into psy ops that are troubling and, in some cases like the CIA drug dealing, cause a lot of trouble. But a lot of it is pretty lame in terms of effectiveness. I've read about the CIA mind control experiments. They didn't do much. I mean, you give an unsuspecting middle age guy LSD in his drink and he jumps out the window. Brilliant. I'm afraid the same mentality has gone into the prisoner torture stuff. My bet is that they're not getting much information but having a lot of fun by their terms.
