15. Kerry is a silent, but deadly.
After Vietnam, he learned to use his powers for the good. Go Kerry and recounts for the sake of democracy.

16. right he's an investigator
former DA, and the guy who brought down Ollie North and co's little Iran-Contra game and the BCCI Scandal. Hell you know, in retrospect he would have made a great attorney general like in the Clinton years.

18. (scratching my head here)
Okay, that all sounds great ...... but how come he's let everybody else do the heavy lifting on all of this? Where's he been hiding? Is this "leadership?"

I'm just baffled, completely, by his behavior.

20. There are some people in the DLC who are great and Kerry
is one of them. Remember this guy has a lot of progressive values in him, he obviously doesn't have a problem with Moore if he's gonna do what I saw him do at convention speech which was to mention the Bush-Saudi connection.

28. Kerry is the exception to the DLC rule .
And believe me, they are NOT happy with him tonight. He has been annoying them for a while. They haven't liked his recent votes and they don't like his positions. Not centrist enough. And now , putting his name on this! They are furious!

32. Too little, too late
Electoral college meets today and votes, the Bush ascension is all but a done deal. Would have been nice for him to get behind this a couple of weeks ago when it would have actually done some good.

37. And after the electoral college votes
And Bush is officially declared the winner, it won't matter what anyone says, it will be a done deal. Kerry got into this too late, with too little. Granted his lawyers were in Ohio after the election, but it is a sad commentary when it has to be the Greens and Nader calling for the recount, while Kerry and the Democrats remain conspicously quiet.

It won't matter one whit what happens after today, Bush will be declared the winner, and any irregularities found after the fact will be swept under the rug, probably by the DLC/DNC itself. After all, they seem bent on offending the boy king as little as possible.

35.  You better believe if Bush had lost his lawyers would have been
on the courthouse steps 11/3. Why wait until this late date

The date when "Bush's ascension is all but a done deal" is
January 6--NOT the 13th.
This is sort of a meeting to find out IF everyone is in agreement with the outcome, that's all.
They first started this bogus date as the "there's nothing else you can do" date in 2000, so they can get any challenges over with, despite the fact that the papers were screaming that the states had until January 6th to settle things.
A state CAN withold their electoral votes if they are not happy with the surety of their election.
Until then, Bush is still not a TRUE President-elect.
He just plays one on TV.
