They are the ones who did the daily expose of his shady dealing. He has mob connections, took some cash payments and did not report large gifts all the while he was Commissioner of the Corrections department. Even after it was discovered that he had the mob connections, Rudy made him Police Commissioner three months later.
BTW, Rudy's father was a lower-echelon guy in the mob. It was reported while he was still in office and because of the rightwing slant of the papers and tv, it was pretty much made light of since the old guy has passed on. Rudy made it big here while he was DA by supposedly cleaning the mob out of a big convention center here, but it ends up that he too, seems to have been at least "in the know" with some of those guys. Oh, well...just more political garbage....Everyone is trying to figure out if Kerik has jurt Rudy with his personal problems and revelations. Most people say "no" but I think it will follow him like toilet paper on a shoe.

In the news this week that are not according to the normal way that Rove handles things.
Looks like Rove is off track or that we are not looking at the right object.
If Cheney is pulling the strings here, then no one is watching what is happening and everyone will think that they have won.

I didn't hear this firsthand, but I just finished reading the thread about the Laura Flanders' AAR show tonight. it seems that Kerry has stepped into the voter fraud fight and will be seeking an investigation in Ohio.
Hopefully, Rove is losing total control. Let's see if he can keep five or six balls in the air at one time.
