What if Coulter became a future presidential nominee
Do you think we would have to nominate a celebrity Dem to oppose her? Maybe we could get Robert Redford to run against her, he once played in a movie called "The Candidate"

1. I don't know about a celebrity to run against her
but if she got elected we know what kind of government we would have.

2. Aren't insane people prohibited from holding office?
If so she couldn't run.

3. Oh yeah? Then how did Shrub get to run?
It was already obvious that he was a wack job when he was Governor of Texas, so why wasn't he vetted before the Repukes nominating him?

9. good point.
But I always just thought that Bush* was "really stupid" or "dangerously ignorant" or just a "loser" rather than "completely insane" like Coulter.

10. the people know she's insane
they've read her crap and seen her on TV. there's no way she'd convince anyone she's a compassionate conservative.

I just hope this isn't a serious thread because anyone who thinks Coulter has a snowball's chance in hell of winning needs their head checked.

12. Of course not silly.
I was looking for information on little Annie Fannie at one time and I came across a conservative website (sorry I didn't save the URL) that didn't like her at all for making conservatives look like lunatics. They even had a link to an article on DU about her. So maybe we should look upon her as gift from above. When she rants even our extremists look level-headed.

4. Here are some facts about Alpha Centauri
Visible only from latitudes south of about 25 degrees N, the star we call Alpha Centauri lies 4.35 light-years from the Sun. But it is actually a triple star system. The two brightest components Alpha Centauri A and B form a binary. They orbit each other in 80 years with a mean separation of 23 astronomical units (1 astronomical unit = 1 AU = distance between the Sun and Earth). The third member of the system Alpha Centauri C lies 13,000 AU from A and B, or 400 times the distance between the Sun and Neptune. This is so far that it is not known whether Alpha Centauri C is really bound to A and B, or if it will have left the system in some million years. Alpha Centauri C lies measurably closer to us than the other two: It is only 4.22 light-years away, and it is the nearest individual star to the Sun. Because of this proximity, Alpha Centauri C is also called Proxima (Centauri).

5. we wouldn't need to look too far to find someone capable of beating her
she'd be lucky to even get the Republicans to vote for her in liberal states. We'd probably win every state except the deep south and ultraconservative western ones.

11. Coultergeist
Ann Coulter is poltics' version of Andy Kaufman. She writes and says things just to get a rise out of people. The other night on MSNBC she was calling a couple of moderate Republicans "liberals." They went off on her, and her eyes lit up. She was entertaining herself just like Andy Kaufman entertained himself at the expense of others.

Like Kaufman, Coulter is a total sociopath than needs to be on more medications.

13. Actually, maybe if someone gave her a sandwich, it
would send all kinds of good vitamins to her anorexic starved brain. I think a chemical imbalance from excessive dieting and bulemia have taken their toll on her brain cells.

14. Hell, we could nominate Emo Phillips and Carrot Top
and they'd mop the floor with her annorexic ass.

She would be the first candidate in US history with a lesser grasp of current events and history than G.W..

18. What if aliens landed on Earth
and told us that we can't nominate her, because she's needed on their planet to clean their drain pipes, since she's the only skinny one left, and all their roto-rooters broke.

Well...it's just as plausable.
