"I just think they are sore losers and money and time (for the recount) could be spent on other things."

Pretty much sums it up!

No papier mache heads or street theater. Losing their creativity.

Like the song says

Who's in the White House?

Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush.

I'll help them pack.

After tomorrow, it will be in the hands of the House. No court in the country can stop it.

2. LOL LOL It's so funny how unprepared/uneducated they are over there!
It cracks me up so much that they actually think they can breathe a sigh of relief tomorrow like that's the final straw LOL Just shows they have NO idea how this process works.

Funnier thing is some of them actually know that it then goes to the house, but they are stupid enough to think that if Ohio DOES send an additional set of electoral votes after Dec 13th because they found that Kerry did in fact win Ohio, that the house would just ignore them! They don't understand that if the evidence shows that Kerry won Ohio and an additonal set of electoral votes is sent that the House would NO WAY accept the original slate, whether they are republican controlled or not!

That is what cracks me up, they think they don't have to fear after tomorrow, when tomorrow is the day they should start to fear like they've never feared before!!!!!!

ALL HAIL PRESIDENT KERRY!

13. You fail to consider one crucial fact of life since 2000
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 12:08 AM by Gman
That is the fact that we are now, and have been since January 2001 living under a right wing revolutionary government of which the House is part. That is to say that the right wing overthrew the United States government in 2000 and that revolution was perpetuated last month. So, even if it is shown that Kerry won Ohio and the presidency, do not expect the House to accept the slate of electors that will vote for Kerry. They fully intend to reinstall Bush for a second illegitimate term. That's the way dictatorships work. We now live in one. Dictatorships do not give up that easy, just because the opposition wins an election.

If Kerry is shown to have won Ohio and the election, and if the House refuses to accept Kerry as the rightful, legal president (as was the case with Gore), you and everyone else here need to decide what we are going to do about it. Start thinking now.

Rule of law? The Constitution? Ha! Don't be naive.

"To: RtWngr
Are you serious? Do you think that the Republicans are going to allow these losers to count the ballots on their own without them scrutinizing every ballot. From the 92,000 spoiled ballots, there are overvotes and undervotes. At best 20% of these spoiled ballots will be allowed for counting.
Anyway President Bush official and certified lead is 118,775 votes over Kerry. It is Mathematically impossible for Kerry to overcome it no matter how many times they count the ballots. It is just "Mathematically Impossible", period.

This recount will be just “academic” and it carries absolutely no constitutional and no legal impact on the results of the election in Ohio.

To them the hardest work is trying to produce a functional thought. In their small brains they never understand logic or reason. They just play follow the leader till someone tells them to jump off a cliff. I'm feeling very good about the Kerry letter tonight and am very proud of him. He is a true President unlike the chimp. Kerry is still inspiring me even now with his strength and wisdom. I'll be proud to call him President when they overturn the election.

18. What bothers me most of all about freepers:
They never stop to question their racism or the racism of their "leaders." It just never enters their mind that despite everything else, such as manipulation of ballots and tampering with the evote machines, that if the people of color had been given the same access to voting as the whites, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Everyone knows, whether they admit it or not, that suppression of the minority vote was the key obstacle to Kerry's lead.

Until they address the issue of their innate racism and racist policies which at times will give them an edge in elections, then I have no use for these people. None whatsoever. They are scum if they approve, either tacitly or overtly, the suppression of minorities and denial of the vote to minorities.

Let me repeat it again in case they're reading this post: Freepers are racist scum.

Repukes hate minorities...That is also the why they hate metropolitan cities...because we are diversified, and we like it!

I always am astounded when I see some Repuke on TV who belongs to a minority.
I'm like : 'ASSHOLE- You're whole party hates you and your kind, and wants to keep your people down.....Hellooo?? Then I think, well, this loser probably has made himself a little money, has a little house, and a decent car, so he thinks that he should "belong" to a superior (in his mind)political party now. Self-hating piece of shit, he is.

Repukes are either:evil

The intellectual heavyweight Freeper named "Jumper", known throughout the land for his rapier-sharp wit and 5th grade spelling competency, came up with this little gem: "Someday, democrats will not accept the electrol process."

Oh, and since the freeps are lurking, someone please tell OSHA that Diebold made the optical scanning machines used in OH? Ahem, the same machines that they want to inspect?

<snip>
-------
To: JeanS
This ploy is simply about casting doubt upon the very process that makes democracy different from the rulership by the socialist elite in Europe; part of the culture war against democracy in America. Someday, democrats will not accept the electrol process.

24. we are facing some serious problems
Much of what is posted at some of these sites is very disturbing. I fail to see the humor in what goes on there at FR and I don't see it as very constructive to mock and ridicule them.

I also object to using them as a benchmark for comparisons with DU.

Posting their stuff here just gives them that which they crave most - attention.

They do not seem "scared" or worried at all to me. They seem very confident and very belligerent. Getting into taunting back and forth with them - which is what this will inevitably lead to - is merely stooping to their level.

And that's my opinion.

25. On the contrary,
Exposing their hate and idiocy serves an important purpose. If ANY elected Republican said any number of Freeper-like statements about Islam, integration, teachers, or minorities, they'd have to apologize or face the consequences (like Mr. Lott did). If anyone ever tries to pretend that Republicans are tolerant, enlightened and intellectual, simply show them a thread from freerepublic. I guarantee you that at the bear minimum, they'll have to admit that a fair number of conservatives are backward. At the maximum, they'll jump on board with the progressives. No fault in exposing hatred and intolerance to the masses.

That is equally true about much of what is said here.

anyone ever tries to pretend that Republicans are tolerant, enlightened and intellectual, simply show them a thread from freerepublic. To whom should we be showing this, and how will that help anything? The people there are not representative of anything. There are many, many conservatives who long since got disgusted with them and left over the years.

In any case, it is no news to anyone here, and I don't think it is news to the posters on this thread. It is merely an excuse to get into a bash "them" session because it feels good to do that for some people.

They desperately crave attention over there. The more attention they get, the more outrageous they become and the more power and influence they have.

29. I think it's useful to know your opposition
I spend a lot of time observing what is posted there and taking note of the divisions.

The biggest thing that separates Democrats from elected office for the past ten years has been the talk-radio phenomena, of which Freerepublic has much in common. I want to know what makes their "base" tick, what divides them, and what we can use to our advantage.

I would hope that by igniting threads like this, we can brainstorm on what tactics to use, or how to reach people in our communities (local fundraisers, newsletters, or what have you). I guess my hope is that some good will come by alerting people of how these neocons think.

33. around and around we go
I usually do ignore them, but for the sake of some new people who may have been sucked into the FR bashing without thinking it through, I thought I would offer an alternative, We can get silly with this, because I could say that people who tell other people to put people they disagree with on ignore rather than respond to them should themselves be put on ignore etc. ad infinitum.

See what I am saying? People get into accusing the accusers and being suspicious of the suspicious and on and on. Eventually no one will be able to post anything, and no one will ever be able to counter anything anyone else posts. We will all either be so suspicious of each other that it is a constant flame war, or we will all have each other on ignore.

I made one comment here and would have let it stand at that if someone hadn't responded, Since someone did respond, I saw no harm in making my point more clear for the benefit of those who are reading and may find value in that.

41. Sometimes is told that the main reason Europe joined forces

with Stalin, is that, even if capitalist west has profound political and philosophical differences with the "communist" east, apparently both sides perceived that, relative to the mindset that nazis represented, they at least shared a common conception of world and ethics, even despite each side applied them in radical different ways. Nazis had the particular notion that magic was the main energy that moved the world, and that energy manifested itself in the world in the form of polithical power & rethoric. Then, its not surprising looking at these facts, that EU and URSS joined against them, right?

Its something interesting, and also very disturbing to think about

46. I think it is supposed to desribe tinfoilhatters
It is a label that is supposed to cut dems. down, but it doesn't seem to hurt.
You know sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me -

38. question about secret FReepers
Have a lot of secret Freepers been exposed on the DU recently?

Do they pretend to be democrats and then suddenly lash out at sincere D.U. people?

Or are they mostly in-your-face pesky & argumentative?

40. oh well,
it was probably nothing. A couple of people posted on another, old thread, that they suspect all newbies of being freepers.

Maybe they were just blowing hot air.

42. Here's something you'd better pick up quick...
...there are certain posters around here who will accuse anyone who disagrees with them in the slightest - whether a first day "newbie" with 3 posts or a 1,000+ poster with a star who has been around since 2001 - of being a "freeper." They use it as a cheap way to dismiss those who say so much as "boo!" in opposition of any given opinion they might have posted in a thread.
As long as you're not a real "freeper," I wouldn't worry about it in the least. It just comes with the territory. And welcome to DU, BTW.

52. Hello and Thanks!
This is my first day. I have been a little nervous about posting because of the attacks that I see on newbies. Your post makes me feel a little better about jumping into the mix.

48. how many times are you going to ask this?
You have asked this one way or another a few times now. Might want to give it a rest.

Friendly advice.

47. And you can bet your progressive little bootie
that these same goons would be frothing at the mouth for recounts if * had lost the initial counts.

They know this thing was stolen. They're just like little kids burning down their own house and blaming Mommy cuz she got pissed.
