Osama bin Laden is a Right-Winger
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 10:09 AM by ck4829
From Osama's 'Letter to America'

You are the nation who, rather than ruling by the Shariah of Allah in its Constitution and Laws, choose to invent your own laws as you will and desire. You separate religion from your policies, contradicting the pure nature which affirms Absolute Authority to the Lord and your Creator...

(Let's look at that part again, this time we will replace one Islamic keyword with a Christian keyword.

You are the nation who, rather than ruling by the Ten Commandments in its Constitution and Laws, choose to invent your own laws as you will and desire. You separate religion from your policies, contradicting the pure nature which affirms Absolute Authority to the Lord and your Creator...) (Hmmmm.... sounds like something Roy Moore would say, doesn't it?)

...

(2) The second thing we call you to, is to stop your oppression, lies, immorality and debauchery that has spread among you.

(a) We call you to be a people of manners, principles, honour, and purity; to reject the immoral acts of fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants, gambling's, and trading with interest.

(Osama and the Christian Right, both opposing the so-called homosexual agenda)

(iv) You are a nation that permits acts of immorality, and you consider them to be pillars of personal freedom. You have continued to sink down this abyss from level to level until incest has spread amongst you, in the face of which neither your sense of honour nor your laws object.

Who can forget your President Clinton's immoral acts committed in the official Oval office? After that you did not even bring him to account, other than that he 'made a mistake', after which everything passed with no punishment. Is there a worse kind of event for which your name will go down in history and remembered by nations?

(Hey, Osama, just like the majority of the RW, thinks Bill is immoral)

2. Buddist?
Is there such a thing as a radical authoritarian Buddist? It seems like saying someone is a radical fundy Quaker to me but I could easily be wrong.

6. both the neocons and muslim fundamentalists are anti-liberal,

where liberal is losely defined as 'to much personal freedom that causes the decline of moral values in society', and in their mind strongly associated with "the left".

where moral values is defined as 'anything that doesn't fit a machiavelian/christian fundamentalist agenda'.

as explained in the BBC documentary
"The power of nightmares: the rise of the politics of evil"
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/3755686.stm

(In short for those who are familiar with the teachings Leo Strauss: the muslim world has it's own version of Leo Strauss.)

"At the heart of the story are two groups: the American neo-conservatives and the radical Islamists.

Both were idealists who were born out of the failure of the liberal dream to build a better world.

(...)

Both these men believed that modern liberal freedoms were eroding the bonds that held society together."
