More Bush lies exposed: Economy
Well, as everyone with half a brain here at DU expected, the jobs data released today looks very grim. Over 93,000 jobs disappeared from the payrolls last month alone. Hey, at least someone got a job in China, Mexico, Guam, Indonesia, etc!

http://msnbc.com/news/962192.asp?0cv=CA01

But never fear! White House Spokesman Scott Mcllelan (Whatever, I call him Ari divided by 3) had this gem of a quote:

“The economy is growing but we want to see it grow even faster.”

GROWING? Where? I don't see it growing. Did you? When did this happen? How does 93,000 lost jobs equal growth?

(Another very depressing snip)
Some reports estimate 5 million jobs — many high-paying — will be lost to other countries by 2015. As the economy grows, demand is being filled from overseas, Sohn said. Also, because of that increasing global competition, businesses are holding down costs by not hiring.

3. I love this line
"As the economy grows the demand is being filled oversees."

So basically we can have a strong economy with no one working?

4. Why is good "Economic News" always bad for workers?
I think that when they say "the economy" they mean "the power and wealth of the wealthy."

Everyone else is up the creek.
