Man Sought in Family Kidnapping Arrested in Eufaula

Montgomery (AP) - A spokeswoman for the Alabama Department of Public Safety says law enforcement officers in Eufaula have arrested a man wanted for kidnapping his ex-wife and his three children. Martha Earnhardt said the suspect was apprehended at a fast food restaurant in Eufaula this morning.

Earnhardt said a search is underway for the missing children and their mother. Their fate is not immediately known. State troopers issued the Amber Alert after a woman identified as Victoria Hines and her children, ages eight, 13 and 15, were abducted Monday evening at gunpoint from their home in Ariton in Dale County
