This is the start of the TO December fund-raiser. Right now TO is
funded entirely by a small but dedicated core of it's readership. Fewer
than 10% of the readers contribute to support the project. To all of
those who do pitch in, a hearty thank you from the TO crew. To those who
value this service but do not contribute: Try to imagine what we could
do if just 25% of the readers supported the project. Get on board the
independent-news train!

1. I really love their judgment in selecting photos for the top of the page.

They are always thought-provoking, worth 10,000 words, and the selection consistently demonstrate a set of values that are compassionate and noble. That may sound overblown, but I really mean it.
