1. Tranlsation of Neocon speech....
"We're not afraid of Dean, the really unqualified, funny-looking guy!"

Actually means...

"We're pissing our pants over this guy."

Hope that helps :-)

2. They are ready to attack anyone who gets the nod.
They've mocked Kerry for his hair and some other nonsense and gone after Dean.

200 mil says something about Bush: he's scared s**less.

3. well two possible explanations
1.) they are terrified of him
2.) they are giving him free publicity to give him more name recognition so he scores the nomination over someone they really fear.

the big question is, how smart are the handlers out there?

4. Attack early, attack often - it's the pub way
They're going to jump on whoever looks like the leader at any given point. Politics has always been ugly, but since the 80s the pubs have been building a huge attack machine, while crying that the dems practice "the politics of personal destruction".

19. Then they wouldn't be attacking Dean because Dean is the
Winner and our Country will be the Winner if Dean gets the nod.

10. Its easy with those clowns--just think in reverse....
Edited on Fri Sep-05-03 07:14 PM by OneTwentyoFive
Repigs--Dean is a loser.

Translation:Oh SHIT,Dean keeps gaining ground, gets lots of press, received loads of money on his on-line fund raiser.

Quick... paint him as a loser and get the Media Whores to parrot this daily!!

Repigs--Holy Joe is a winner.

Translation: Idiots like Hannity like Lieberman--If that doesn't sound an alarm nothing does. Hell yes, they'd love to see Holy Joe get the nomination,he'll say little or nothing bad about Bush or his corrupt administration for the next year and will get his ass kicked in Nov 04.

15. Not really thinking in reverse
But using Doublespeak. Which is defined as the ability to hold two or more contradictory thoughts in the mind at the same time.

11. Anybody Who Misunderestimates (sic) Team Rove
does it at their peril...

He is every bit the match for Josef Goebbels.

You can bet your first born son he knows exactly what's he's doing....

12. How hard is it when you control the Media?
Hitler realized that in the early going, same with Rover. They don't have to be genius's,they just put some talking points out, most are blatant fucking lies and let the Media Whores do the heavy lifting 24/7.

WMD,WMD,WMD. They invaded a country solely on bullshit that was crammed down the throats of Americans 24/7 by the Whoring Media. Bush gets his War and the Oil,media whores get millions in advertising revenue.

14. He is every bit the match for Josef Goebbels.
That is so true, but he has a lot more resources at his disposal than Goebbels could have imagined.
He has a network of radio shows that will instantly pump any slogan out to the hate filled listeners.
He has a network of fundamentalist churches that will make the propaganda seem like the word of God.
He has a network of “business men” or corporate executives that can get him cash for any operation he wants.
He has a book market (that is helped by all of the above) to reward any propagandist with lucrative book deals.
But the most important thing is that the books, and propaganda stories created by this network, will become a news story so that we hear it even if we don’t want to.

24. Rove has made some mistakes
Pouring campaign money into California in 00. Running Suzie Haik Terrell against Mary Landrieu and having Bush stump aggressively for Terrell. Terrell was a very weak candidate . . . and ex-Congressman Cooksey would have been far more formidable (even factoring in the towel -head remark he made after 9/11).

Rove also has a looney tune streak. He once told reporters in Austin that he knew his campaign offices.

Turns out he'd bugged himself.

18. to cause us to rally round him, they think he's easy to beat
and after last night, they might be right. The polls (yeah I know, they're bullshit at this point in the campaign) would tend to agree.

But its early days, plenty of time to mend errors and tune the message.

22. there's a 3 way race unless Clark steps in the ring
Edited on Sat Sep-06-03 12:32 AM by Woodstock
Dean - Kerry - Gebhardt -> I predict Dean will come out on top

add Clark if he runs -> and if Dean isn't the nominee for some reason, I'd rather it was Clark (reservations about his lack of governing experience and all) because my take is Dean and Clark are the best bets to beat Bush

attacks on Dean by Lieberman AKA Shill (extreme right of the party) & Kucinich AKA Shrill (extreme left of the party) last night backfired on themselves - Dean took the high road

gave him glowing praise on two shows today. They have been soft on Dean. Nothing personal or on the issues.
