Is James Carville a DLC member? |
|
I know he's a great strategist but I don't know what his politics are like. Does anybody know?

1. No, he is not. He's a classic liberal populist. |

He and Begala are the best there are. Had they run the '04 Kerry campaign he would have won, hands down.

2. So he was Clinton's chief strategist but not a DLCer, interesting |
|
Yea I've been saying what you said above earlier, Kerry was foolish for keeping Bob Shrum as chief strategist. I understand that he felt a certain amount of loyalty to Shrum and those guys because they won the primary for him, but the fact is that Kerry had so many people counting on him to defeat Bush that he really should've just told Shrum "Look, I appreciate what you've done for me, but that fact is that Carville and Begala have won presidential elections before and we REALLY need to defeat Bush." Carville, Begala, and Lockhart should've been on board as chief strategists in March or April, not "offering advice" in September.
I was just wondering about Carville's DLC membership or there lack of, because it's interesting that he's not a DLC member considering that the DLC was really Clinton's organization.
