Can DUers finally quit arguing about the "values" lie? |
|
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=90&e=15&u=/ep/newgalluppollraisesquestionsaboutmediafocusonvalueshttp://www.zogby.com/soundbites/ReadClips.dbm?ID=10389Zogby and now Gallup have both shown that the whole bullshit about "values" in election 2004 was a right-wing LIE. Can we PLEASE quit discussing it as if it was true? And can we all start informing our Democratic Party so-called "Leaders" who want to start kissing fundie ASS that they can now avoid that since they don't have to PANDER to that part of the population now? Thank you. Nordic

However, down here in Mississippi I like to confront conservatives and ask them about our states values - Divorce, Spousal Abuse, Incest, Teen Pregnancy, Adultery and Drug Abuse among other "values." Such activities are pretty commonplace and above the national average in MS. My fellow statesmen also like to bitch about tax and spend liberals even though the state has received, on average $1.65 for every dollar given in the past eight years. No move is being made to give it back. Our highways are trashed with McDonalds bags by conservatives. There is also a large number of Mississipians who receive Welfare and food stamps provided by our fellow Americans taxdollars who live in Blue States. Those same people vote their "values" - ergo republican. I just love talking values in this red state.

Fraud.
And the media hasn't helped either. The media has utterly failed the American people and they haven't figured it out yet.
If the people knew the truth about Buscho, nobody but Bush's Mom would have voted for him.
But I just want to slap somebody every time I see some idiot Democratic "leader" like Harold Ford Jr. yesterday doing on about how we should pander to the right wing "values" crowd.
It's bullshit. These fools are so out of touch they know less than we do at DU. And they're our "leaders?"Makes me ill.

7. Absolutely....You know i get this feeling ... |
|
that a lot of people in church are just waiting for it to be over. Blind acceptance for most people is based on fear. There is a whole bunch of people like me who tried hard to believe in absolute values but like a moldy hot dog, it just wouldn't go down. Pray for these folks. there's a lot of them.
