Frye's unbubbled ballots exceed Murphy's margin. San Diego mayor race.
http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20041215/news_1n15recount.html

"More people voted in the San Diego mayor's race for write-in candidate Donna Frye than for Mayor Dick Murphy, according to a review yesterday of disputed ballots, but it would take court action for her to be declared the winner."

There was "intent" concerning the write ins and it appears that the repugs have stolen another election.

"Let's face it, this is not a literacy test," Frye said in an interview. "This is an expression of the intention of the voter. I feel frustrated, and I feel that a lot of people have been disenfranchised on a technicality."

2. She's a bright vibrant lady and would do well in that position.
But she SHOULD BE the mayor of San Diego. She got more votes than that stuffed shirt repug Murphy.

Why vote anymore?

4. She WILL be mayor.
Either Donna or voters supporting her will almost certainly go to court over this. She has until January 7th to do so, and California's high courts traditionally support voter intent--which couldn't be clearer in this case.

5. I just have a bad feeling that she'll be blocked from the higher court.
And the bubble clause will be upheld.
Repugs are cheating, thieving pigs!

6. yeah, something else to look forward to...
...as * appoints more hard-right nutjobs to the Fed courts, expect the 'pukes to be able to pull this crap more and more.

I live near San Diego and so get to witness the disgusting antics of the lying, hypocritical 'pukes as they whine and pule about their reasons for denying Donna the mayorship. City finances, courtesy of longtime 'puke control, are a mess and they are TERRIFIED of her getting in and exposing their malfeasance.

8. Go, Donna, Go!
It absolutely appalls me that a "law" says someone must fill in the bubble next to a name that is written in on a ballot.

Duh!

Write-in ballots have to be checked individually, so what good does the filled-in bubble do? That should only be considered a necessity for the candidate who is named on the ballot and whose vote can be counted by machine. Otherwise, how would those votes be counted?

9. Its a ridiculous law. A write-in IS intent.
Murphy and Roberts are a couple of whiney losers.

10. yeah, and apparently...
...the campaign workers, vote counters, etc. had no problem correcting ballots that were incorrectly marked (bubble not filled in) for other races but they just can't do it for Donna. I heard about this on Stacy Taylor this morning (local AAR affiliate AM host)...there is more info about this out there. Fucking 'puke whore election-rigging hypocrites.

I'd bet any amount that the San D reg of voters (one Sally Mcpherson) is working in league with the 'puke thug establishment that runs this dirty town. Our very own Blackwell.
