How many evil pukes do you think we have onboard?

We're fast approaching the 61,000 mark in memberships here at DU, and since I already know we have a good amount of unregistered puke lurkers around (I know a couple who admit to spending a good amount of time here), I'm wondering how many of the official 61,000 are also puke trolls?

Let's hear your guesses!

I suspect that at least 4000-5000 are really degenerate trolls from the Freeper States of America, though I'm sure we will likely never know for sure until they start outing themselves in one way or another.

I know that we have a hard time staying in puke mode in going to FR, so I guess I'm most curious about how many of them have managed to keep their true identity hidden here at DU.

I've met a few DUers, and they are definitely NOT freeper trolls! But it does make you wonder a little, doesn't it?

I was at Philosopher's Net the other day and they had a little game with the Matrix, and basically it said that nothing is truly real--that everything that happens is really in a machine, where we are all plugged in to a central core, and we're disembodied brains in preserving gel.

I remember a game when we were children that basically if we closed our eyes everything would disappear. It's a fun game, but I never found myself alone when I opened my eyes. :)

4. Here's what I find interesting about the trolls

I've been to their sites, and they're deadly dull. I mean, there's just so much bad spelling, inane comparisons, and vulgar namecalling one can tolerate.

So, who would want to troll their sites?

Yet, they troll DU.

Yeah, of course they do. They're so bereft of information or imagination, they need to come here to try to leech something up that they can then spend the rest of their sad little day picking apart.

They really are well-named, aren't they?

11. I have noticed they have difficulty with abstraction.

Their writing consists mostly of slogans and cliches. Is there a spell checker at Freeperville?

8. DU should have a "hunting season". Just a day or a weekend

during which we all try to draw them out. Post threads that they can't resist. Drive them into the open. Get them tombstoned.
Maybe there should be a limit, like hunting season, and we can only bag 2 Freepers each, and they have to have so many posts accumulated before they are bag-able. I'm not a hunter myself so I don't really know how it works.

9. I was thinking of that too when I had a little talk with someone on this

board that just annoyed me so much I actually ignored them.


Should we have a way to tell them apart from us? Or is that going down to their level?

have a thing when you register that says - Bill Clinton was the best president since Kennedy and Ronald Reagan is in hell and you have to sign your real name to it - that might keep a few out.
