Did anyone see the new CNN poll?
National, +/-5%

Kerry 16%
Lieberman 13%
Dean 11%
Gephardt 7%
Edwards 7%
Sharpton 5%
Graham 4%
Braun 4%
Kucinich 4%

Yeh, yeh, I know. Polls are meaningless. Especially national polls. But maybe folks will recognize that "reports of my (Kerry) demise have been greatly exaggerated".

3. What worries me is the total: 73%
What did the other 27% answer?

Dunno? No comment? No Clue? Voting for Bush?

4. Well, keep in mind Kerry has to win NH.
I don't believe Kerry is toast, but he's got a lot of work to do. Part of the poll is the bump from the election kickoff carrier stunt. If he doesn't recover from being 21 points down in New Hampshire, it is game over for Team Kerry.

Iraq is Kerry's biggest problem. Kerry can waffle, go totally pro-war, or totally repent. Right now he is between 'waffle' and 'Lieberman', which I guess is still waffling.

7. On Inside Politics today
Donna Brazille said that she thought Kerry comported himself very well last night, looking knowledgeable and presidential. She also said that he has had trouble communicating his "nuanced" stand in the past, but felt that he got it across last night.

FWIW.

9. People who think in black and white can't understand nuance
because they usually don't WANT to if it doesn't fit their agenda.

Sad.

5. Last night they were all good
Actually, Gephardt made the most gains, I think, when he called Bush a "Miserable Failure". I'm for Dean but I enjoyed them all - we have a great selection of candidates.

6. I was very pleased with Mr. Gephardt
but also pleased at the caliber and tone of the responses from the group in general. there is no way the miserable failure president will get reselected short of sabotage! And I think that would cause a serious reaction from the general public! ( I know, I know, I am an optimist!)

8. In here
Perhaps we are exposed to a slightly slanted volume of commentary that does not reflect the democratic party as a whole.
