Once again Bush taking credit for something he fought against tooth & nail |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-17-04 10:19 AM by glarius
How does he manage to get away with this time and again....He fights something, and then when it becomes a reality, he acts as if it was HIS idea....IT'S DISGUSTING!
Edit:...I'm referring to his signing the bill recommended by the 9/11 Commission

4. I'm listening to the talking heads talking as if it is a great |
|
accomplishment for Bush...Am I wrong?....Didn't he fight the idea of the 9/11 Commission, in the first place?

5. The journalists give him a free ride. They never point out his hypocrisy |
|
to the public and never ask him any hard questions. Bush simply does not deserve the reverence the press and 50% of the voting public ascribe to him. He is a liar, cheat, and ignoramus.

6. let me tell you about brother Bush |
|
I live in Texas and have seen bush in action as governor. This is a guy who does not spend political capitol. He will say he is for some issue and then that is all. No arm twisting, no personal appeals. He is a guy who leaves no finger prints on anything. You can't make a mistake if you never do anything. As for this economic 'summit', just a pep rally for the corporate state and the kool aid drinkers. When people realize how much money he wants to steal to pay to hand over Social Security to the private sector, perhaps then they will wake up. With bush, the first rule is ALWAYS Follow The Money. This is a guy who will do anything for the corporate state. Anything.

7. classic Rovian tactics |

I watched it happen here in Texas too. This whole thing with Rumsfeld is going the same way - the media keeps saying the WH is firmly behind him, but simultaneously repugs are speaking out against him. Eventually, shrub will have to let Rummy go because of the clamor. Rummy will be blamed for everything wrong in Iraq and shrub will once again be blameless; he'll be praised for fixing the problem. :puke:

8. His resistance to the commission and things surrounding it... |
|
...was pretty significant.
First he didn't want it formed.
Then he didn't want to ensure that it was sufficiently funded.
Then he didn't want to give them an extension when they were running out of time.
He didn't want Rice to testify under oath. Then he said she would.
He didn't want himself or Cheney to be required to testify. Then he said they would. But only together. And not under oath. And not in a session open to the public. And without any electronic recording devices used. And only if no one present could take notes.
I'm sure there are more examples, but those are just the ones I could think of off the top of my head.
